The Padres are going to the playoffs. Again. Thursday night they went into Dodger Stadium, beat the Dodgers 4-2, and clinched a third straight postseason berth. That’s a first in franchise history, and it never gets old.

This team has been all over the place this season. We’ve seen some really good baseball and we’ve seen some really bad baseball, stretches where you wondered what in the world you were watching. But that’s what makes this so fun. They’ve hit their stride at exactly the right time. Ethan Salas keeps coming up big, the bats are alive, and the whole club is playing loose and confident.

Nobody cares how you get in, only how you’re playing when you get there. Right now the Padres are playing like a team nobody wants to face in October. Let’s keep it rolling.
