I’ve said “Skrabinator” on air probably a thousand times at this point and never once thought it would end up on an actual shirt. But here we are. The shop is live, it’s real, and people are actually buying stuff, which honestly still catches me off guard every time I see an order come through.

If you’ve listened to the show for any real length of time, you already know the OG Skrabinator shirt. That’s the one that started all of this. No real explanation needed there, it’s just the name, it’s just us, it’s the one that felt obvious the second we decided to actually make shirts instead of just joking about it for years.

Then there’s the one that’s honestly my favorite just because of the story behind it. “Well…this is just great everybody.” If you know, you know. That line came out of nowhere on the show one day and just stuck. That’s how most of this stuff happens honestly, you don’t plan it, you don’t sit down and try to write a catchphrase, it just comes out in the moment and then it never leaves. Now it’s on a shirt. Life comes at you fast.

And if you’re more of a Chronicles person, that one’s for you too. Different vibe, same idea, just another way to rep the show if the first one’s not really your style.

I’m not going to sit here and pretend this is some huge merch empire. It’s not. It’s shirts, it’s a sticker, a water bottle, a sweatshirt if you want to stay warm while you’re mad about the Padres bullpen again. But every single order means somebody out there actually wanted a piece of this thing we’ve been building, and that’s not something I take lightly. I started this doing fake radio shows in my room as a kid. Having people wear something with our name on it walking around San Diego, that’s not something I saw coming.

If you’ve been on the fence, or you just didn’t know it existed, it’s up and running now. Go check it out. And hey, if you get one, send me a picture. I’ll probably repost it, because I still think it’s kind of unbelievable that this is a real thing people want.
